What is Webspace? Defining a New Category for Digital Infrastructure

This paper introduces Webspace as the next generation of web experience. Webspace creates digital visibility by replicating real-world presence online, accessible from any browser, and combining 360° immersion, interactive media, and commerce. The study reviewed literature on cyberspace, websites, VR/AR tours, and the metaverse to identify the gap of a browser-native immersive framework. A conceptual framework was developed and illustrated through a caselet of Soibam Stay using Brivo VT, India’s first Webspace builder. Findings show Webspace as a practical and scalable model. The study is conceptual and limited, requiring future validation with broader data and technical research.
