Odynerus (Spinicoxa) reniformis

Odynerus (Spinicoxa) reniformis (Gmelin, 1790) Literature records Derwesh (1965), mentioning ‘Zoologische Sumlong d. Bayer. Staates’. Remarks We have examined no specimens of this species from Iraq. Derwesh (1965) reports it as ‘Hoplomerus teniformis [!] Gmel. var.?’ without providing any detailed specimen records. There are currently no other records of Odynerus reniformis in the Middle East and several other species of the subgenus Spinicoxa are present in the area, making it impossible to ascertain the identity of the record published by Derwesh (1965). The species is not considered to be present in Iraq.
