Enhanced Radiosensitization of Hypoxic Tumors via Gold Nanoparticle-Mediated Thermoplasmonics and Targeted Delivery via Aptamer Conjugation
**Abstract:** This paper presents a novel approach to enhance the efficacy of radiotherapy in hypoxic tumor microenvironments through a combination of gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-mediated thermoplasmonic heating and targeted delivery via aptamer conjugation. Utilizing established principles of plasmon resonance, enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, and aptamer-receptor binding, this system demonstrates significantly improved oxygenation and radiosensitization compared to conventional radiotherapy, offering potential for personalized and intensified cancer treatment.
