Weak–Higgs Coupling and the Mass of Vector Bosons in the Foam–Plexus Model
In the Standard Model, the Higgs mechanism provides mass to the W and Z bosons through spontaneous symmetry breaking of the electroweak sector. In the Foam–Plexus framework, bosons are constructed as double-loop wormhole structures, while fermions are polyhedral loop complexes. This paper refines the Foam–Plexus account of electroweak bosons: the W± and Z0 are reinterpreted as composite Weak–Higgs (WH) loops coupled with electromagnetic (EM) loops, while the Higgs boson itself is a pure WH scalar excitation. This approach naturally explains the charged nature of the W±, the neutrality of the Z0, and the scalar spin of the Higgs, while preserving the original Foam–Plexus principle that fermion masses arise from W–H face alignment. The reinterpretation unifies vector boson masses with fermion mass generation without invoking symmetry-breaking vacuum expectation values.
