TRIMETAZIDINE AS A NEUROPROTECTIVE AGENT IN THE COMPLEX THERAPY OF BRAIN CONCUSSION
This study investigates the therapeutic potential of Trimetazidine as part of a comprehensive treatment regimen for patients suffering from brain concussion. The findings reveal that Trimetazidine effectively contributes to the normalization of hypoxia-related metabolic disturbances, improves the balance of pro- and antioxidant systems, and stabilizes levels of neuron-specific enolase (NSE), a biomarker of neuronal injury. These effects underscore the drug’s neuroprotective properties, suggesting its valuable role in managing mild neurotrauma.
