Educational Equity: The Role of Flipped Classrooms and Personalized Learning in Expanding Access to Higher Education
This paper explores the role of flipped classrooms and personalized learning in promoting educational equity and expanding access to higher education. Using a mixed-methods approach with data from 300 students across urban and rural contexts, the study evaluates how these digital pedagogies enhance engagement, self-directed learning, and academic performance while addressing barriers such as inadequate infrastructure, teacher preparedness, and socio-economic inequalities. The findings highlight the potential of flipped and personalized learning to bridge the digital divide and align with India’s NEP 2020 vision of inclusive, technology-driven education. Actionable recommendations are provided for policymakers and educators to optimize hybrid learning models and ensure equitable access to quality education.
