Security System for DNS Using Cryptography.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is a critical component of internet infrastructure, but it is highly vulnerable to attacks such as cache poisoning, man-in-the-middle attacks, and data interception. This research presents the design and implementation of a security system for DNS that leverages cryptographic principles to enhance the integrity and confidentiality of DNS queries and responses. The system introduces a lightweight, client-side cryptographic layer to validate DNS records and prevent unauthorized data manipulation, thereby mitigating common threats without requiring significant changes to existing DNS infrastructure. The proposed framework is developed with a focus on an intuitive user interface, allowing for easy configuration and monitoring by network administrators. Our findings indicate that this approach provides a robust and scalable solution for protecting DNS traffic, offering a proactive defense against cyber-attacks and ensuring a more secure and trustworthy internet environment.
