Organization Development Interventions for Enhancing Resolution Making and Parliamentary Procedure in the Barangay Council of Barangay Santo Rosario, Magallanes, Agusan Del Norte, Caraga, Philippines

This Organizational Development (OD) initiative aims to empower the Barangay Council of Barangay SantoRosario, Magallanes, Agusan del Norte, Philippines, by enhancing its effectiveness, efficiency, and overall capacity to serveits constituents. The core objective is to strengthen the internal structures, processes, and collaborative dynamics within theBarangay Council through a comprehensive assessment of the council's current functioning, identifying areas forimprovement in communication, decision-making, and planning, specifically in policymaking. The study focuses on addressing the significant challenges faced by the Barangay Council due to minimal knowledge incrafting resolutions and applying parliamentary procedure during meetings. It aims to identify the specific knowledge gapsamong Barangay Council members regarding the creation of effective resolutions and the application of parliamentaryprocedure; to design and implement participatory and capacity-building OD interventions tailored to the local context andresources, focusing on resolution making and parliamentary procedure; and to assess the impact of these interventions on thecouncil's ability to function effectively, make sound decisions, and serve the best interests of their constituents. This OD intervention seeks to foster a more cohesive, responsive, and proactive Barangay Council. The benefits for theresidents of Barangay Santo Rosario include improved service delivery, enhanced transparency and accountability in localgovernance, increased community participation and engagement in barangay affairs, and more effective implementation oflocal development plans and projects. This initiative represents a commitment to investing in the human and organizationalcapital of Barangay Santo Rosario, with the goal of creating a stronger, more resilient, and progressive community for all itsresidents.
