Automated Metamaterial Lattice Optimization via HyperScore-Driven Evolutionary Algorithms for Enhanced Terahertz Waveguiding
**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel framework for the automated design and optimization of metamaterial lattices for enhanced terahertz (THz) waveguiding. Leveraging a hierarchical evaluation pipeline incorporating logical consistency checks, numerical simulations, and novelty assessments, we propose a system guided by a HyperScore metric to accelerate the discovery of high-performance lattice structures. The system automates the design process, replacing traditional trial-and-error methods with a robust evolutionary algorithm driven by our unique HyperScore. This enables rapid identification of metamaterial designs capable of achieving unprecedented THz waveguiding efficiency and control. This methodology is immediately applicable to industries involved in THz communications, sensing, and imaging.
