D3.8 Report on the 2nd and 3rd Stand-alone Teaching Event

D3.8 Report on the 2nd and 3rd Stand-alone Teaching Event details the activities conducted during the second and third Schools Activities in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2024 and Tirana (Albania) in 2025. By the project's General Agreement, Greenforce organised three intensive international winter/summer schools, also known as stand-alone teaching events, to disseminate knowledge generated by the project itself. Aligned with the project's central theme, "Just Green Transitions," the Belgrade Summer School focused on communicating just green transition as a powerful platform for communicating the importance of sustainability to the next generation. The outcomes were shared with numerous stakeholders and other representatives of the quadruple helix using different communication channels. The Winter School in Tirana was an immersive platform for exploring how nature-based solutions (NBS) can scale down green transition efforts to the neighbourhood level. Organised by Co-PLAN and POLIS University with the contribution of Greenforce partners, the Winter School brought together students from across Europe and the Western Balkans to engage in lectures, fieldwork, and design studios focused on local environmental challenges. Participants translated complex sustainability concepts into tangible, context-sensitive proposals by combining theoretical inputs with hands-on urban explorations and collaborative scenario-building exercises. These results were communicated to key stakeholders, including local government representatives, and further shared through project social media channels, reinforcing the role of education in advancing just, place-based green transitions. This deliverable outlines the activities carried out by both schools and the contribution made by each partner. To facilitate understanding, the report is divided into two parts: Part 1 presents the Summer School experience in Belgrade, while Part 2 focuses on the Wintern School held in Tirana. Each part has several sections presenting: • The summer school organisation• The summer school topic• Main online and in-person activities• Summer schools' main resultsFor each experience, a number of annexes are included.
