ROLE OF YOGA IN ENHANCING BALANCE, COORDINATION, AND AGILITY IN VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

The ability to maintain balance, coordinate movements efficiently, and demonstrate agility is critical for peakvolleyball play. This study looks into how yoga might help volleyball players improve their fundamental motorabilities. A sample of 40 male and female volleyball players aged 16-25 was chosen and divided into two groups:an experimental (n=20) and a control (n=20). The experimental group received an 8-week organized yogaintervention, whereas the control group continued with their normal training regimen. Standardized balance, coordination, and agility tests were used in both pre- and post-test evaluations. The findings revealed a substantialimprovement in the experimental group compared to the control group, suggesting that yoga improvesproprioception, neuromuscular coordination, and response speed. The study suggests that incorporating yoga into volleyball training regimens can be an effective technique forimproving players' balance, coordination, and agility, eventually leading to higher athletic performance.
