PENGARUH TEKANAN SOSIAL TERHADAP PERILAKU KONSUMTIF REMAJA

ABSTRACTConsumptive behavior among adolescents has increasingly become acommon phenomenon, as seen in the high level of consumptivebehavior among students at SMKN 1 Sukorejo. This study aims todetermine the influence of social pressure on adolescents’consumptive behavior. The research employed a quantitativeapproach. The population consisted of 326 tenth-grade students fromvarious majors at SMKN 1 Sukorejo. A total of 180 students wereselected as the research sample using proportional random sampling. The instruments used for data collection were the consumptivebehavior scale and the social pressure scale. The results showed a correlationcoefficient (R) of 0.486, which indicates a “moderate” correlationstrength, and the relationship was found to be positive, meaning thathigher scores on one variable are followed by higher scores on theother, and vice versa.
