Troglocharinus espanoli subsp. portai Zariquiey 1950

Troglocharinus españoli portai Zariquiey, 1950 Troglocharinus españoli ssp. portai Zariquiey, 1950: 197; fig. 5b. Current accepted name Troglocharinus elongatus portai Zariquiey, 1950: Fresneda & Salgado, 2016: 190. Type locality Cova del Bolet [original citation: “Prov. de Barcelona: Cova del Bolet, term. municipal de San Quintín de Mediona, part. de Villafranca”]. Type material Syntypes: MZB 71-2404 (1 ♀), type loc., 24-XII-1934, F. Español leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey). Remarks Zariquiey (1950) did not establish a holotype and instead indicates that the “Tipos” are deposited in his collection (he refers to a male and a female from the type locality). In the MCNB collection (Zariquiey’s collection) we have located a female with the collection dates given by Zariquiey (1950), with labels written in his own hand. This specimen, moreover, has a red label with the inscription “Typus” printed in black letters. We were unable to locate the male. Escolà (1969) refers to both specimens.
