Luang Prabang Province (Brosch et al. 1999; Racheli et al. 2008; Kishida et al. 2020), Xieng Khouang Province (Kishida et al. 2020), Vientiane Province, Phongsaly Province (Naumann et al. 2016), and Luang Namtha Province (this study). Remarks. (1) The first record from Luang Namtha Province. (2) Previously, the species was incorrectly recorded as “ Archaeoattacus edwardsii (White, 1859) ” (Brosch et al. 1999; Racheli et al. 2008; Kishida et al. 2020). (3) Naumann et al. (2016) provided Archaeoattacus malayanus ’ distribution map, where three black points indicate the records from northern Laos (Vientiane, Luang Prabang, and Phongsaly provinces), which actually belong to A. malayanus, whereas the black point indicating the records from southern Laos is given incorrectly and probably belongs to Archaeoattacus vietnamensis Naumann, Rougerie & Nässig, 2016.
