GROWTH OF COMMON CARP (CYPRINUS CARPIO) OF THE LAKE ZAMONBOBO IN UZBEKISTAN
Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) has been caught by fishermen since the 2010s in the newly created Zamonbobo drainage water storage lake (lower reaches of the Zarafshan River, Uzbekistan) and is becoming an object of commercial fishing. The water in the lake is brackish. The aim of the study was to determine the age and growth of roach by scales as of 2024-2025. Common carp hsh large scales; morphologically, age can be determined by alternation of zones with widely spaced sclerites (summer) and narrowly contiguous (winter). Common carp up to 4 years old were identified in the sample. On average, the following growth rates were found for carp in the lake: SL1 – 10.7 cm, SL2 – 19.8 cm, SL3 – 26.8 cm, SL4 – 33.5 cm. The Rosa Lee phenomenon does not occur.
