The louder the noise, the greater the emptiness a cultural critique of contemporary noise
This essay critically analyzes the paradox of informational and sensory saturation in contemporary culture. Through an interdisciplinary approach (philosophy, sociology, psychology), it argues that "symbolic noise," inherent to cognitive capitalism, operates as a mechanism of desubjectification that colonizes attention and generates an existential void. The work not only diagnoses this issue but also proposes the recovery of silence and mindfulness as acts of ontological and political resistance essential for reconstructing an autonomous subjectivity.
