Actias laovieta Naumann, Nässig & Löffler, 2017 Figs 7D, 19B Material examined. LAOS: Bolaven Plateau, Champasak Province, Paksong town, mountain tropical forest and pine plantations, 15°10'54"N, 106°14'25"E, 26– 28.07.2023, E. Spitsyna & V. Spitsyn leg. – 1♂. Distribution in Laos. Champasak Province, Sekong Province, and Attapu Province (Naumann et al. 2017). Reference COI barcode sequence. GenBank acc. no. PV069501. Remarks. (1) Actias laovieta Naumann, Nässig & Löffler, 2017 is morphologically similar to Actias selene (Hübner, [1807]) and Actias ningpoana C. Felder & R. Felder, 1862 and cannot reliably be identified only by means of morphological features. (2) A. laovieta is known from central and southern Vietnam (Lam Dong and Thua Thien Hue provinces) and southern Laos (Champasak, Sekong, and Attapu provinces) (Naumann et al. 2017). (3) BOLD contains the COI sequence of the holotype (sample ID SASNA877-09). (4) The male genitalia of A. laovieta are illustrated for the first time (Fig. 19B).
