An AI and IoT-Powered Platform for Sustainable Fashion and Community Engagement

SecondWear bridges the gap between the ideal of a sustainable circular economy and the reality of textile waste by leveraging emerging technologies to create an engaging and rewarding platform. The fast fashion industry is a leading contributor to environmental pollution, resulting in excessive textile waste each year. To solve this issue, SecondWear, using Flutter mobile development framework is an innovative mobile application developed to address this growing issue by enabling a sustainable clothing exchange and donation platform. SecondWear distinguishes itself through an innovative incentive based system that rewards users for contributing clothing, making sustainability both engaging and rewarding. The primary objectives of SecondWear include promoting eco-conscious habits, simplifying the clothing donation process, and enhancing user interaction through the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) to power AI-driven moderation tools.and incentive-based systems. These tools ensure content quality and adherence to platform policies, helping maintain a safe and responsible environment for users. Additionally, the app incorporates IoT feature, QR code scanning, which streamlines the donation process and improves tracking efficiency. By combining AI, IoT, and incentive system, SecondWear not only increases user engagement but also raises awareness about the environmental impact of textile waste. The app empowers individuals to take meaningful action, making sustainability more accessible and impactful in everyday life. Through this blend of technology and purpose, SecondWear offers a scalable solution to combat the environmental challenges posed by fast fashion.
