Speocharis sellai Bolivar 1923

R. Zariquiey). │ MZB 71-3763 / MZB 71-3771 (2 ♂♂, 7 ♀♀), type loc., Conde de la Vega de Sella & Obermaier leg. (ex coll. J. Nègre). Remarks Male holotype originally designated as “Tipo” (Article 73.1.1.). Bolívar (1923) does not specify how many specimens there are in the type series, which originates from four caves in Asturias. The specimens originally deposited in Zariquiey’s collection have red labels with the printed inscription “Cotypus”. Specimen MZB 78-2473 also has a determination label hand-written by Bolívar with the inscription “cotipos”. In Nègre’s collection we have found nine specimens with identical printed collection labels, of which the first (MZB 71-3763) also has the same label as mentioned above, hand-written by Bolívar. The holotype is deposited in the MNCNM (Bolívar, 1923). Together with this specimen, in the same collection (box 9) we have also found a number of specimens that seem to belong to the type series given the characteristics of their labels and the information they contain; however, they bear no labels that identify them as types. In the MNHNPs general collection (box 53) with have located at least one specimen labelled as a cotype (material examined by J. M. Salgado).
