Coptotriche japoniella Puplesis & Diskus 2003

Coptotriche japoniella Puplesis & Diškus, 2003 Coptotriche japoniella Puplesis & Diškus, 2003: 116. TL: Japan. TD: ZMUC. Diagnostic characters. Frontal tuft ochreous yellow except black apically. Forewing mainly orange yellow or ochreous orange, with scattered fuscous brown scales; cilia-line fuscous brown. In male genitalia, uncus lobes obtusely rounded at apex, excavation between uncus lobes produced posteromedially; valva narrowed at basal 1/3, broadly rounded at apex; vinculum with ventral plate distinctly convex posteriorly; phallus sinuate apically, with two lateral clusters of slender spines (Puplesis & Diškus 2003: 116, figs 272‒275). Distribution. China (Guangdong), Japan. Remarks. Puplesis & Diškus (2003) described C. japoniella from Japan. Huang & Tan (2009) recorded this species from Guangdong, China. Host plants include Eurya emarginata and E. japonica (Theaceae) (Puplesis & Diškus 2003).
