Current accepted name Parvospeonomus urgellesi (Español, 1964): Fresneda, 1998: 74. Type locality Avenc de les Aranyes [original citation: “Avenc de les Aranyes, Orsavinyà, en las inmediaciones de Pineda (prov. Barcelona)”]. Type material Syntypes: MZB 78-0974, MZB 78-0975, MZB 78-0977 / MZB 78-0997 (42 ♂♂, 43 ♀♀, 2 exs), type loc., 1-XII-1963, I. Remarks Español (1964) neither establishes a holotype nor the number of specimens in the type series, which, as far as we can ascertain, is deposited in its entirety in the MCNB. Specimen MZB 78-0974 has a red label hand-written by F. Español with the inscription “ Holotypus ”; the remaining specimens have red labels with the inscription “ Paratypus ”, either written by J. Comas or printed (“ Paratipo ” in the case of de MZB 78-0975). There is a discrepancy between one of the collection dates indicated by the author in his description (26 January 1964) and the date on the labels of the specimens deposited in the MCNB (19 January 1964). In the case of specimen MZB 78-0976, separated to extract its genitalia, the transcribed date is 19 January 1968.
