Impact assessment models
The SIAMUS project (Integrated System for the Analysis of Sustainable Urban Mobility) aims to provide data and indicators for sustainable urban mobility based on the experience of Pin Bike, the patented system for the certification and gamification of sustainable mobility. This deliverable C.2 contains an in-depth study of Pin Bike initiatives and their impact on urban and sustainable mobility in cities where the initiatives have been active and concluded or are still active. The purpose of this document is to show, through a survey addressed to all Pin Bike users in the urban areas considered in the “Integrated System for the Analysis of Sustainable Urban Mobility (SIAMUS)” project, what the main impacts of the proposed and completed Pin Bike initiatives have been. The objective is to prepare proposals for ‘impact assessment models’ based on mixed surveys, with stated preference (SP) and revealed preference (RP) according to the Pin Bike user's experience during the initiative. These documents will provide a useful scientific basis for analysis and studies in the behavioural sector of mode choice, directing future research towards the definition of active and sustainable mobility solutions through a change in user behaviour. By analysing the ex-post and ex-ante assessments and considerations of end users on possible initiatives to encourage sustainable mobility, it will also be possible to carry out cost-benefit analyses on new project proposals or new initiatives. In synergy with the technical report (Deliverable C.1), these models will form the basis for the development of guidelines for public and private policy makers (Deliverable D.1).
