INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM (ICS): A STANDARDISED SYSTEM FOR MANAGING EMERGENCIES AND LARGE-SCALE INCIDENTS
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a widely recognized and standardized framework for managing emergencies and large-scale incidents. ICS has evolved into a comprehensive system for coordinating emergency responses across various jurisdictions and organizations. The key objectives of the research evolve the implementation of ICS in diverse emergency situations, identifying challenges faced during its application and proposing strategies to mitigate these challenges. This research will provide a comprehensive analysis of ICS’s role in improving communication and reducing misunderstandings during high-stress incidents, thereby offering valuable insights into its application in modern emergency management. The conclusion of the research is drawn from the importance of communication, data management, and coordination among agencies as integral elements for successful incident management.
