Crisis Energética y su Impacto en el Sector Turístico del Cantón La Maná, Provincia de Cotopaxi

Electric energy as we know it today, wherever renewable or traditional alternative , is the main engine of operation of the sector for the proper use of facilities, areas and services of the different types of projects and establishments that exist in the country, Only the lack the lack of connectivity hinder the quality of the services to the entrepreneurs which lead to think about the magnitude of affectation that causes the electrical energy for the touristic activities in a city, canton or country and its impact on the users. This research consists in analyzing objectively the impact of the energy crisis in the functioning and quality of the touristic establishments of the La Maná city using a methodology with a mixed approach that combines qualitative and quantitative tools applied both for entrepreneurs and local authorities of the tourism area. This methodology allowed to identify the affectation level and the main challenges faced by the local actors during the power outages, the results evidence a great capacity of resilience based on immediate solutions as the use of electric generators and rechargeable devices, however these alternatives turn unstainable at long term which suggest how important is to adopt the renewable energy as an innovation alternative in the touristic sector the same as promote the natural resources conservation generating economical benefits for the local tourism an also ensuring the labor sta
