Manejo de las quemaduras y sus complicaciones: evolución técnica, la interacción de lo clásico y la nueva era: Presentación del metaanálisis

Burns represent one of the most frequent and damaging injuries that impact the skin and the tissues beneath it, causing considerable morbidity. The evolution in burn care has been impacted by both traditional methods and recent advances, favoring the prognosis and quality of life of patients. This document offers a meta-analysis on current techniques and methods in the treatment of burns, highlighting the connection between the traditional and the new era. The objective of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the effectiveness of classical and modern techniques in the management of burns, comparing the results of recent studies. A thorough search was carried out in databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE and EMBASE, finding relevant studies published in recent years. Research was incorporated that examined the definition, etiology, pathophysiology, treatment, and complications of burns.
