Análisis de los Delitos Cibernéticos en el Ámbito de los Videojuegos, Metaverso y Estrategias para Mejorar la Gestión de Incidentes Cibernéticos en la Policía Nacional

With technological innovation, younger generations are increasingly immersed in the digital world; this is due to their participation in online games, unfortunately creating a target for threats and extortion by cybercriminals. Based on this, the following research objective was proposed: to contribute to strengthening cyber incident management within the National Police by identifying cybercrimes in video games and the metaverse, implementing specific strategies that improve response capacity to emerging threats. The study was carried out using a methodology focused on non-experimental research, using systematic criteria to establish its structure or behavior and provide alternatives for addressing cyber incidents within the National Police, through a qualitative approach based on a documentary review and the selection of a population sample of 6,577 video game and metaverse players in the city of Bogotá between the ages of 18 and 40, from a sample selection of 363 players, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%. The results of the documentary review and the population study reflect a high level of interaction between cybercriminals on video game entertainment platforms and the metaverse, and, on the other hand, structural, technological, and operational limitations of the National Police to confront this criminal phenomenon.
