Ansiedad en estudiantes del área de la salud
Healthcare students are dedicated to promoting people's well-being and providing quality care from their first clinical internships until they become healthcare professionals. However, throughout this process, they face severe anxiety attacks that significantly affect their emotional state, academic performance, and interpersonal relationships. These attacks are the result of various factors, including stressors and depression, and in some cases, even lead to the development of eating disorders or fatal consequences, such as suicide. In the academic context, students present a systemic imbalance in the face of demands, manifesting in symptoms that can cause physical, psychological, and behavioral changes. Their ability to respond to threatening situations is not always adequate, which can have negative effects on academic performance and the quality of care provided. (Clemente, 2021) These factors not only affect students' health and performance but can also compromise the quality of care and put patients at risk. (Sonmez et al., 2023). This essay will analyze how anxiety impacts health students in various multidisciplinary areas and explore the potential consequences of this problem.
