Percepción y Adaptabilidad Tecnológica en Microempresas: Un Análisis desde el Entorno Local

The incorporation of technology in microenterprises is a key factor in today’s business landscape due to its impact on operational efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the level of technology adoption and perception in microenterprises operating in the commercial and service sectors of Loja, Ecuador. An exploratory-conclusive methodology was applied, which included a review of scientific literature to validate the feasibility of the study and the design of a structured survey administered to a sample of 365 microenterprises. The collected data were processed and analyzed using SPSS software version 26. The findings reveal that a significant portion of microenterprises perceive technological tools as profitable and viable, which encourages their gradual integration into business operations. Furthermore, the use of technology contributes to increased productivity and enhances local market presence. However, notable challenges persist, such as high implementation costs and limited knowledge of technological innovation. Overcoming these barriers is essential for microenterprises to fully leverage the potential of technology and strengthen their long-term development and competitiveness.
