Relación causal entre turismo y crecimiento económico en el estado de Guerrero, México, 1980-2022

This research aims to analyze the relationship between tourism and economic growth in the State of Guerrero during the period 1980-2022. Tourism inflow (TA) was used for tourism, and the Gross Domestic Product of the State of Guerrero (GDP) was used for economic growth using annual data. The Engle and Granger (1987) methodology was used: unit root tests, cointegration tests, error correction models, and Granger causality. The results showed a unidirectional relationship between GDP and TA.
