Diseño de un Entorno Virtual de Aprendizaje para el fortalecimiento del pensamiento crítico en el bachillerato

Critical thinking encompasses the ability to analyze, understand, make decisions, and solve problems. Critical thinking is a fundamental element in preventing students from becoming conformist citizens who accept any assertion as valid. The objective of this study is to contribute to strengthening the critical thinking of second-year students at BGU, in the area of Management and Entrepreneurship. The research is descriptive, explanatory, and non-correlational, quasi-experimental, and approached from a quantitative perspective. The data collection instruments were the pretest and posttest, which were validated by two experts in the field of virtual classrooms and education. These instruments were administered to 37 students. The results: The mean for the pretest was 6.62/10 and the posttest was 8.97/10. The Student t-test yielded a p-value less than 0.05, which is why the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It is concluded that the use of the virtual learning environment improved the development of critical thinking in the area of Management and Entrepreneurship. It is recommended that teachers participate in ongoing professional development workshops to strengthen the digital skills needed to ensure proper integration of this tool.
