Funcionamiento Familiar de Estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Enfermería y Obstetricia

The research focused on evaluating the family functioning of students of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Obstetrics at the University of Guanajuato, aged 18 to 23 years. The APGAR family scale was used, a tool that measures aspects such as adaptability, participation, growth, affection and resources by means of Likert-type questionnaires. The sample was randomly selected and was composed of 106 students, divided into four groups according to their second, fourth, sixth and eighth semesters. The results showed that most of the students come from functional families, however, significant percentages were identified, in which 32% of fourth semester students with moderately dysfunctional families within the bachelor's degree stand out. The study concludes that the family environment directly influences mental health and academic performance, highlighting the importance of implementing psychological support programs to improve student well-being.
