Relación entre la satisfacción laboral y compromiso organizacional en el talento humano de las grandes empresas del sector comercial dedicadas a la venta del por mayor de camarón y langostino de la provincia de El Oro
In the context of Ecuador's coastal export industries, the analysis of organizational behavior has gained strategic relevance, particularly in high-demand sectors such as shrimp commercialization. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are widely recognized as key factors for talent retention, productivity, and business sustainability. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees of large shrimp trading companies in the city of Machala, also evaluating variations according to educational level and job tenure. The methodological approach was mixed, with a quantitative emphasis and a descriptive, exploratory, and correlational scope. Two validated instruments were applied: the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire S20/23 by Meliá and Peiró (1989) and the Organizational Commitment Scale by Meyer and Allen (1991), administered to a stratified sample of 300 employees. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Spearman’s correlations, and one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni post hoc tests. The results revealed a positive and significant correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. In addition, statistically significant differences were found in commitment levels by job tenure and in satisfaction levels by educational attainment. These findings provide valuable evidence for designing more differentiated and sustainable human talent management strategies.
