Classdojo, una estrategia innovadora para el aprendizaje de las habilidades comunicativas en estudiantes de Bachillerato Agropecuario

The aim of the study was to demonstrate that the use of the Classdojo platform helps develop communication skills in second-semester students at the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario No. 13 in Xmatkuil, Yucatán. The students show deficiencies in communication skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, inquiry, and sharing, which prevents them from expressing themselves correctly in different contexts and leads to learning difficulties in other subjects. A correlational methodology with a quasi-experimental design was used, including an experimental group and a control group, with a sample of 48 students organized into two groups, aged 15 to 17, from a lower-middle socioeconomic background, coming from Mérida and the subcommittees of Xmatkuil. For evaluation, two instruments were administered, called a pretest and a posttest, each consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses (Statdisk) were performed using the test scores, and the results showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups related to communication skills. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that the Classdojo platform, as an innovative strategy, requires didactic and technological adaptations in order to motivate and increase a higher level of participation among upper secondary students.
