Conocimientos sobre VIH/SIDA en Mujeres de Ciudad Pemex, Macuspana, Tabasco
HIV is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in the world. Although it is associated with a higher prevalence in men, women experience higher mortality rates due to the lack of timely detection. The project's objective is to identify the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS among women of reproductive age in Ciudad Pemex, Macuspana, Tabasco. The study uses a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach, with the participation of forty women selected through non-probability convenience sampling. The results show that although five out of ten women had a satisfactory level of knowledge, three out of ten had average knowledge, and two out of ten had deficient knowledge. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a need to work in primary care through health promotion and education to reduce risks and prevent disease.
