LEGAL REFORMS AND JUSTICE DELIVERY MECHANISMS IN INDIA: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS THROUGH THE LENS OF THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005
Abstract: Legal reforms in India have undergone substantial transformations due to the emergence of democratic awareness and the growing involvement of citizens in government. The Right to Information Act, 2005, is pivotal to this growth, serving as a potent legislative tool to enhance transparency, guarantee administrative accountability, and fortify justice delivery. Within the overarching framework of global sustainable development, access to information serves as a fundamental pillar for democratic governance, civic engagement, and legal empowerment. This article examines the influence of the RTI Act on legal changes and the enhancement of justice delivery systems in India. It also examines the obstacles presented by technological, bureaucratic, and policy-related elements while evaluating the global implications for interdisciplinary study in law, technology, and sustainability.
