The Impact of Digital Information, Scholarly Resources and Library Databases on Gender Roles and Fertility Intentions of Childbearing-Age Groups in China

Abstract This study aimed to examine the influence of digital information, online academic resources, and library databases on knowledge and decision-making concerning gender roles and fertility. Data were gathered from a sample of 5,204 individuals within childbearing age groups in China. RStudio was employed to ensure analytical robustness. The findings indicate that digital information, academic resources, and library databases exert a significant and positive impact on gender roles and fertility intentions. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how digital information sourced from library resources aids the Chinese population in fertility-related decision-making. Additionally, the study offers valuable insights for policymakers seeking to shape fertility intentions through academic literature and digital information accessible via libraries.
