Feedback Literacy among Brazilian University Students: Factors Affecting the Quality and Effectiveness of Feedback
This study proposes continuing a research on the uses of feedback among university students, expanding the scope to a regional level, covering 3 to 6 universities in Minas Gerais. Feedback is defined as information provided by an agent, human or otherwise, that evaluates an action and allows correction. This information may originate externally or internally to the person. The concept of Feedback Literacy is related to the ability of understand and effectively use the components of external and internal feedback, involving cognitive, emotional, and social factors that significantly afects performance and the quality of learning in higher education. The main objective is to obtain new information about the phenomenon, focusing on the emotional components, self-control, and self-esteem related to Feedback Literacy. In addition, we seek to compare these aspects between similar samples (university students) in different institutional contexts, providing elements to understand how psychological, affective, social, institutional, and cultural aspects interact. This approach aims to generate new research questions in this field, contributing to a more comprehensive and multifaceted understanding of Feedback Literacy in higher education.
