Closing the Mentorship & Feedback Gap for Gen Z: An Integrative Review (2019–2025) and the Coach-Feedback Flywheel Model
The arrival of Generation Z (born 1997 – 2012) in the workplaces marks one of the largest generational transitions of the 21st century. As digital natives molded by tech acceleration, social upheaval and a new awareness of mental health and equity issues, Gen Z workers are rewriting the rules of the workplace. At the core of such expectations lies the need for mentoring, ongoing feedback, and career development opportunities. And yet, according to various global-scale reports and academic investigations, there continues to be a deep-rooted disparity between what Gen Z demands and what organizations are delivering, resulting in disaffection, flight risk, and stagnated career advancement.
