Unified Ayurvedic Glaucoma Scoring Tool (UAGST): A Prototype for Doshic Diagnosis of Adhimantha

Adhimantha, a severe ocular disease described in Ayurveda, has symptomatic parallels with glaucoma. This project introduces the Unified Ayurvedic Glaucoma Scoring Tool (UAGST), a weighted prototype scale that classifies doshic subtypes (Vataja, Pittaja, Kaphaja, Raktaja) using structured criteria from classical texts. By assigning diagnostic weight to primary, supportive, and accessory symptoms — and bonus points for objective signs — UAGST offers a reproducible method for Ayurvedic diagnosis. It sets the foundation for future clinical validation and integration with modern ophthalmic measures like IOP, CDR, and visual field loss.
