"Mental Illness as a Disorder of DNA Architecture:The Sugar-Backbone Hypothesis"
I have redone this paper to make it better! This paper introduces the Sugar-Backbone Hypothesis, proposing that mental illness arises from structural and electromagnetic disturbances in the DNA sugar-phosphate backbone, rather than solely from gene mutations or neurotransmitter imbalances. The backbone is reframed as a magnetic-major, electric-minor coherence network, with local Magnetic Information Density (MID_i) and emergent spin (S_eff) governing transcriptional fidelity in neural cells. The framework defines a dimensionless collapse threshold (κ_sugar) for sugar nodes and incorporates dynamic EM remix feedback loops that partially restore backbone coherence. Testable predictions include measuring MID_i, S_eff, and transcriptional changes under controlled electromagnetic modulation. By uniting magnetic-electric physics, molecular biology, and neural genetics, this work establishes a falsifiable, mechanistic model for the biophysical origin of mental illness, offering experimental pathways for investigation and potential therapeutic insight. Keywords: DNA architecture, sugar-phosphate backbone, Magnetic Information Density, emergent spin, mental illness, transcription fidelity, electromagnetic modulation, bioinformatic feedback ---
