Self-assembly behaviour of telechelic polyethylene glycol with triptycene termini capable of two-dimensional ordering

When a tripodal triptycene with strong 2D assembling ability is incorporated into both termini of a poly(ethylene glycol), the polymer chains are accommodated between the 2D triptycene arrays, giving rise to a periodic lamellar structure.
