Preparing students for intercultural interaction

The article is devoted to the current problem of linguodidactics, training students, future foreign language teachers, for intercultural interaction. As a result of the analysis of literature and the experience ofintercultural interaction of The Republic of Belarusians and English native speakers, the author comes tothe conclusion that at present there is a contradiction between the goal of language education and the teaching strategies applied in practice. The article defines a range of issues that need to be considered in the framework of preparing university students for intercultural interaction.
