La función de los escribanos en el proceso histórico mexicano

We have access to many articles and books written to reconstruct the history of the Mexican judicial institutions, most of them express that French, British, German and North American institutions influenced persistently the Mexican institutions since the 18th Century, but we have forgotten the Hispanic roots. That is the reason why in this article we study the Spanish legacy in the notarial functions. We study this item from the Law and History perspective, with examples from the Guanajuato’s archives from the 17th and 18th centuries.
