Gestión Administrativa: Desafíos en la Salud Pública

Administrative management in public health is a key factor in ensuring equitable, timely, and quality access to health services. In a world characterized by constant social, economic, and epidemiological changes, health systems require increasingly efficient, dynamic, and adaptable management structures. This literature review analyzes the most relevant administrative challenges facing public health systems in the current context, such as resource scarcity, institutional fragmentation, lack of strategic planning, resistance to organizational change, and limitations in the use of information technologies. Through a review of studies published between 2014 and 2024, proposals and strategies for improvement are also identified, including strengthening leadership, continuous training for managers, digitizing processes, and promoting data-driven management and intersectoral participation. It is concluded that improving administrative management is an essential condition for addressing health inequalities and responding effectively to global public health challenges.
