Experimental Study on Self Curing Concrete

Building and sustaining global infrastructure to satisfy the future requirements of both industrialized and developing nations is essential for economic growth and enhancing living standards. The quality and effectiveness of concrete is essential for various infrastructures, including commercial, industrial, residential, and military buildings, as well as dams and power stations. Concrete is the most extensively produced material globally, with over 6 billion metric tons of it generated each year. The initial and life-cycle expenses significantly impact the development of infrastructure today. Numerous significant developments have occurred in concrete technology over the past fifty years. In recent times, the idea of internal curing in concrete has become more popular and is gradually moving from the lab to practical applications. As per the ACI 308 committee, internal curing is described as the process in which cement hydration takes place due to the presence of extra internal water that is separate from the mixing water.
