ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DATA-DRIVEN VISAGISM: ADVANCED PERSONALIZATION OF HAIRCUTS IN CONTEMPORARY BARBERING

The global grooming industry is undergoing a paradigm shift from intuition-based practices toward evidencedriven, technologically enhanced methodologies. This paper examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence
(AI) and data analytics into visagism, a scientific approach to haircut and beard personalization rooted in cranial
morphology, psychosocial profiling, and aesthetic harmony. Leveraging computational tools such as computer
vision, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), augmented reality (AR), and predictive modeling, AI enables
barbers to design styles with unprecedented precision and reproducibility. Beyond individual personalization,
big data analytics facilitates market forecasting, demographic segmentation, and operational optimization in
barbershop management. By positioning visagism at the intersection of applied aesthetics, biometrics, and
digital innovation, this study argues that barbering can no longer be considered a purely artisanal craft but rather
a multidisciplinary field contributing to global cultural identity and the knowledge economy.
