The Role of Family and Environment in Shaping Social Behaviors and the Roots of Oppression
The paper highlights how family systems and environments influence human social development and contribute to the behavioral roots of oppression. This was shown through the transmission of cultural norms, relational patterns, and responsibilities. It is shown clearly in (Hutchison, .2019.p.198). Families influence individuals' beliefs, attitudes, and social interactions across generations, which can reinforce both inclusive practices and biases that perpetuate inequality. So, in relation to the above, the physical environment can build natural interaction for resource connections and opportunities, which can be a disadvantage to the outgroup. Together, these factors influence attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, which include those unjust and oppressive practices. Understanding those fundamentals can influence how to address those inequalities and promote equitable social interactions and resource connections.
