ANTIBIOTIC PRESCRIBING IN ENDODONTICS: ARE WE FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES?

This preprint explores current antibiotic prescribing practices among endodontists and assesses their compliance with clinical guidelines. Based on a nationwide survey, the study reveals a high rate of unnecessary antibiotic use in cases such as irreversible pulpitis and localized apical periodontitis. The findings emphasize the need for improved guideline awareness and responsible antimicrobial stewardship in endodontic practice.
