Role of the MTHFR A1298C mutation in Tourette syndrome:epigenetic correlations and integrated therapeutic proposal with theNatural Mathematical MedicineAbstractTourette syndrome (TS) is a multifactorial neuropsychiatric disorder characterized by motor and vocal tics, often associated with comorbidities such as ADHD and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Recent studies suggest DNA methylation plays a role in its pathogenesis, with particular attention to the MTHFR gene mutation, specifically the A1298C variant. This mutation can alterfolate metabolism and the availability of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM), influencing neurological gene expression. This study analyzes the correlation between MTHFR A1298C and Tourette syndrome, integrating a therapeutic approach based on Natural Mathematical Medicine, which employs selected phytotherapeutic synergies to modulate the neuroimmunometabolic axis. TheNaturMat C10, C9, and C5 preparations are analyzed in relation to the biochemical pathways involved, proposing an integrated intervention model.
