Columbia javanica Blume 1825

Columbia javanica Blume (1825: 117) ≡ Colona serratifolia var. javanica (Blume) Kuntze (1891: 82) ≡ Colona javanica (Blume) Burret (1926: 810). Type (lectotype, designated here):— INDONESIA. Java Island, ‘ad montem Parang Provinciae Tjanjor’, Blume s.n. (L! [L2348476]; isolectotypes L! [L2348465], [L2348501]; M! [M0210269]). In the protologue, only the locality is cited without specifying the collector and reference herbarium. Studying the original Blume’s collection (Stafleu & Cowan 1976 –1988: 234) were found four duplicates of Blume s.n. in L and M associated with Columbia javanica. Therefore, following Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen L2348476 as a lectotype, by choosing the best-preserved and complete specimen.
